Dear Friends! There is big trouble in Köpec! The Skyscraping Elm in CRISIS!

In the most beautiful corner of Transylvania, in Woodland a giant elm tree lives alike with skyscraping tree from the famous Benedek Elek’s fairy tale: “…Straight in the bottom of the garden there was a tree – believe it or not – it was as high as it was scraping the sky. There was no tree like it all around this world” The same is our tree, The Elm Tree from Köpec. We entered it in “The Tree of the Year 2011” contest, organized by the “Polgár-Társ” Foundation from Csíkszereda, where, as a finalist, it has big chances to become the real tree of the year”.

Lots of people fell in love with it, closed it in their hearts, it has been on the first place for 40 days, but now it is in a big CRISIS: every day it is overtaken by another tree. But the end of the voting is away yet, it comes on 31st of October 2011. To make this tree to be “the Tree of the Year” WE NEED YOUR VOTE, YOUR VOTES, but not just them, but of your family, of your friends, of your acquaintances. All of you can vote on this link: http://www.treeoftheyear.ro/voteaza.php?id=22 once per e-mail address then click on the link received in your e-mail box (it can come in Spam), that’s how your vote is valid. VERY IMPORTANT: from one IP you can vote with not more than five e-mail addresses.

In spite of the fact that this tree has been living for more than 300 years, it keeps on with today’s trend: it’s on the Facebook (under the name of Köpeci Szil), where you can read more about it, about this initiative, about this contest. You can also download videos, banners, posters you can use to ad this voting.

Hoping that you liked the story of our tree, you are going to help us. We, the group of promoters, whisper together with the princess from Benedek Elek’s fairy tale: “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid my skyscraping tree, I shall never let you down, never in this life!”

We hope that you join us in this attempt, we will defeat all the seven headed dragons on our way and at the end we shall celebrate together “from East to West the yellow sap will pour, and the ball will last for three days and three nights.”

THANK YOU!!!
